He also points out that even though he was only supposed to be playing along with Genkai's trap, he really did try his hardest to defeat Kurama. Sometime after Yusuke has been rescued and everything was explained as being a test set up by Genkai, Kaitou's soul was restored to his body, and he introduces himself formally. After eliminating nearly every letter from the alphabet, Kaito thinks for sure that he has won, until a surprise from Kurama causes him to laugh. When Kurama stacks the odds firmly in Kaito's favor, Kaito thought for sure he could defeat Kurama for once. In this game, the rules are to not speak any word from the alphabet that has been eliminated, starting from the end to beginning. After taking the souls of Hiei, Kazuma Kuwabara, and Botan, Kaito and Kurama agree to up the challenge. He eliminates the word "hot" from the vocabulary, explaining that whoever speaks the Taboo word will lose their soul. Sitting quietly in a heated room, Kaito uses his Power of Taboo. When Yusuke Urameshi fights with Asato Kido, Kaito is seen standing off to the side with Mitsunari Yanagisawa, witnessing Yusuke's defeat against a lower class fighter.Īfter bringing Yusuke to the House of Four Dimensions and holding him hostage, Kaito was the first of the New Recruits to challenge Yusuke's friends. After being told that he can always do better next time, Kaito tells himself that he has other plans for Shuichi Minamino. Kaito makes his first appearance at Kurama's school after seeing that he came out second to Kurama during an exam. He is also very interested in and skilled at playing video games, having once played the fictional "Goblin City" for thirty-six hours straight trying to beat his previous high score. Despite his arrogance, he does care for his friends, as he tells Kurama that he will help if he is needed. He is very envious of Kurama's intelligence and while he makes no attempt to hide that fact, he doesn't allow himself to be bothered by it as well. After teaming with Kurama and the rest of Team Urameshi, he becomes a tad more friendly and is willing to help out, though he still retains his dour and snobbish personality. Later on, he appears to be much more dangerous, with his own "territory" and the ability to capture people's souls if they utter a designated taboo. During his first appearance, Kaito comes across as an intellectual snob with a mocking tone. He has a serious personality and is extremely intelligent. Yu Kaito is a student at Meiou Academy, together with as his perennial rival, Shuichi Minamino (Kurama). Kaito playing his "taboo" game as part of Genkai's test

6/30/2023 0 Comments Sixtyforce torrentThe title & instrumentation remind me of Mazedude's classic " See Sixty Funk" EarthBound mix from days of yore good times. It's strangely rare that I arrange (and especially finish arranging) tracks from games I actually love, so I'm pretty happy how this came out!" (PRC! PRC!) I won the previous round and got to pick the source I chose "Wandering Warriors" to rally up some interest for the Drive, and I thought it'd be appropriate to do a bonus track. This was also a bonus track for PRC round 277. Also thanks to Pleiade, Pirjo, and Sir J for encouraging and useful feedback. That said, timaeus222 and Argle had some very good feedback in the Workshop to reduce crowdedness in the mix and arrangement, and do some other tweaks. I didn't even have to massage and polish the mix quite as much as is usual for me. These were just the samples that fell into place and seemed to work together, resulting in a fairly dry and harsh soundscape. I didn't have a plan, exactly, to make an arrangement with such a concept. The style is some sort of techno made with mostly Commodore 64 samples. 3:28-3:47 - The arp, the pad, and bits of the fanfare are featured.2:42-3:28 - The chorus repeats with the same stuff as before. What a missed opportunity to use the source up to 0:35. 1:56-2:03 - This bit of the melody might be based (vaguely) on some part of the source, but I don't recognize it anymore.1:42-1:56 - The melody is based on the high, soaring melody at 0:36-0:50.0:54-1:10 - The arp uses all the four measures of 0:57-1:03 along with the bass.0:39-0:54 - The arp uses the first measure 3 times + the last measure, of 0:57-1:03.0:23-0:39 - The bass follows the chord progression of 0:57-1:03 (the arp is still only based on the first measure).0:08-0:23 - Background pad based on the blasting horns in the intro 0:00-0:07.0:00-0:08 - This arpeggio is present almost throughout the track. So the breakdown will point out what comes from where: The source is there pretty much the whole time, but it's been appropriated for the style & key so much, it might not be obvious (but, hopefully, it's still legit for OCR). I've given it a sort of deconstructive treatment, chopping the source to bits and building something else from the remains. It has great melodic content, but also some tasty compositional complexity. It seems to be called "Wandering Warriors," but I don't know how official that is. The source is the overworld theme, and also one of the battle themes. I find it's also one of the best-sounding scores on the Mega Drive. So many great tracks on the soundtrack (and the recurring motifs are fun to spot throughout). It can be eerie, rousing, or peppy, anything that the gameplay and story call for. Motoaki Takenouchi's prog-tinted soundtrack has many sides. Not super challenging, but lots of fun! Thanks to Teemu for borrowing me his Mega Drive and games back in the day, I still recall the playthrough fondly. It's a light tactical JCRPG full of colourful characters and locales, with pretty well-streamlined gameplay. I do believe Shining Force II is one of my favourite games and soundtracks. "This one was featured in the 2014 Shining Force II 20th Anniversary Mix Drive, where a bunch of arrangers made some SFII tracks for Rexy to play on her SEGA Mixer Drive show on RadioSEGA, near the date of the 20th anniversary of the game's NA release. Shining Force!! It's been twelve long years since our last featured mix from the series, and this retro chiptune jam from Eino Keskitalo is actually our FIRST mix of Shining Force II, which is odd since it was probably the most popular of the series. 6/30/2023 0 Comments Google report a broken linkThe problem is these links will remain in your post and appear as broken to all of your users.
